HPM is pleased to announce that Dr Zhang Hai-Di has joined its Drug Safety Department

After graduating in pharmaceutical chemistry from Peking University, China, Dr Zhang continued his studies in Japan, earning his master's degree in neurobiology with a specialization in genetic disorders including Alzheimer's disease.

He then received his doctorate in Biochemistry from Friedrich Miescher Institute in Basel, Switzerland, working on RNA interference. Afterwards, Dr Zhang joined the Institute of Molecular Biology at the University of Zürich as a postdoc conducting research on Epigenetic histone modifications.

Before joining HPM, he worked for Novartis in the post-marketing safety operations department in Basel where he gained experience in drug safety.

Dr Zhang has authored several peer-reviewed articles in top scientific journals including Cell. He is fluent in Chinese, English, Japanese and German.

In his new role as a drug safety officer, Dr Zhang will bring invaluable support to the case processing team.
